It was a very good month for Nintendo with the firm selling over 1.3 million copies of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and over 900,000 units of the Switch console in the month of March.
After just two days of being out on the market , Nintendo proclaimed that the Switch was the fastest selling console in the firm’s history. Unsurprisingly, the firm also stated that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the best-selling standalone launch title in Nintendo’s history, eclipsing the previous title holder, Super Mario 64. Nearly a month after its release, we are finally getting some hard numbers to see just how well the console and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild performed.
According to NPD Group, the Nintendo Switch sold more than 906,000 units in March in the United States.
