After selling out in a day a couple weeks ago, it looks like Nintendo is making good on its promise by shipping more SNES Classic Edition consoles that will arrive in retail locations this week.
It was two weeks ago when the SNES Classic Edition made its debut in retail stores and sold out in an instant, despite having quite a bit of stock compared to the launch of the NES Classic Edition. A week later, we would see thousands of consoles appear on eBay, priced at nearly double or even triple its standard retail price of $79.99.
Luckily, it appears that replenishments will be available starting on October 10, as Polygon reports that GameStop and ThinkGeek will have some available, with more units arriving over the next couple of days.
In a statement to HotHardware, a GameStop representative said:
Further to the above, ThinkGeek will also have individual units in stock in store today and online starting from tomorrow.
If you aren’t able to get your hands on it this week, GameStop has stated that there should be weekly shipments of the console going forward.
