Cardinal Shehan School’s choir director Kenyatta Hardison went live on her Facebook page last month during practice showing a moving performance. The post has more than 3 million views on Hardison’s Facebook page and more than 83 thousand shares.

“The children are speaking, the children are giving the message, they’re leading us,” Hardison told CBS Baltimore . “This is part of Baltimore, there is hope, kids with compassion, kids who love and spread peace, who believe in one another.”
People commenting on Hardison’s post have called the performance « humbling, » « powerful » and « beautiful. » Some said it’s moved them to tears and gave them chills.
John, who delivered strong vocals in the video, said they sing for a higher purpose.
“That’s why the Lord created us all, » John told CBS Baltimore. « He wants us to have a purpose in this world. We’re not finished yet. We have a lot more work to do, but when it’s time for us to leave it, means our job here is done.”
