Meteor 'footage' shared by Michigan police department is the best you'll see

BATH TOWNSHIP, MI – If you think you’ve seen the best available video of the Michigan meteor, think again.
That footage belongs to the Bath Township Police Department. In a humorous video posted to the Lansing-area department’s Facebook page, officers say that footage of the meteor was captured on officer Trenton Bailey’s dash cam.

The 7-second video then shows a blazing ball of light fly across the screen. It’s incredible footage, except for one thing. The meteor has legs. A closer look reveals the video was made for laughs and that the blazing ball of light is actually some dude running across the screen with a flashlight.
The comical video has since gone somewhat viral. Since it was posted, the video has more than 56,000 views and more than 1,500 shares. Nearly 300 people have chimed in, applauding the department for its A+ effort and creativity.
