Robert Howe, 77, died on Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, according to his obituary.
The victim of a home invasion in Urbandale has died, according to Urbandale police.
Robert Howe, 77, was hospitalized after he was stabbed during a break-in on Sept. 3,2017.
Magai Anai-Kur, 19, was charged with attempted murder, 1st-degree burglary, 1st-degree robbery and 2nd-degree theft in connection with the home invasion, according to police.
Howe was stabbed shortly before 4:50 a.m. during the home invasion in the 6300 block of Urbandale Avenue.
Howe died at Iowa Methodist Medical Center on Monday, according to his obituary. The cause of death is under investigation, said Sgt. Chad Underwood, spokesman for Urbandale police.
In 2015, Howe won a $100,000 jackpot from the Iowa lottery.
