Chris Rock may be pretty outspoken, but he’s known for keeping quiet when it comes to his private life.
However, the comedian revealed on his new Netflix special, “Tamborine,” that he tried to hit on Rihanna after divorcing his wife of 16 years in 2016 — and struck out spectacularly.
He said his astronomical fail happened as he approached RiRi at a party.
The 53-year-old comic recalls, “I’m like, ‘How you doing Rihanna?’ Rihanna looked at me like I was one of her aunts.
She didn’t even register me as a d–k-carrying member of society. Like, I would have had an easier time f–king Aretha Franklin.”
Rock went on to state that he even forgot how old he was in perspective to the 29-year old Bajan beauty. But it’s not all hard luck: Rock is now dating actress Megalyn Echikunwoke, who is 34. Her latest project is “Step Sisters.”
Rock was previously married to Malaak Compton-Rock and they share two children. In the new stand-up special, filmed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Rock also discusses police brutality and getting his kids ready for America’s crazy politics.
Rihanna has been seen making out in a hot tub with Hassan Jameel — the son of Saudi auto mogul Abdul Latif Jameel — who has an estimated worth of $1.5 billion.
This is the first of two new stand-up specials for Emmy and Grammy winner Rock in 10 years. His Netflix deal was said to be in the range of $40 million.
