The Fortnite Week 7 challenges have dropped and there’s a fun selection this week.
As per usual, there are seven challenges for you to complete this week. Completing four out of the seven will net you 5,000 bonus XP, which counts towards earning Battle Stars for your Battle Pass progress.
If you can complete all of the availble Week 7 challenges, you’ll be one step closer to obtaining the Blockbuster skin as well. This is the first time that it’ll be fully available to, since you have to get seven out of seven on seven full weeks of challenges. Deal 250 damage with a pickaxe to opponents
This is equivalent to two and a half full eliminations without shields or one and a quarter with full shields. You don’t have to get all of the damage in one game, so it’ll be a good idea to swing your pickaxe at an enemy right at the start of the game, then if you get killed, just jump into another and start again. To complete the challenge, you’ll have to connect with 25 pickaxe swings.
Another strategy is to stay on the Battle Bus until the very end and prey on AFK players. If you stay on the Battle Bus for the whole of its trip across the map, it’ll eventually kick you off at the other side. Hopefully you’ll be lucky and some people will be AFK long enough to land at the edge of the map, where you’ll be waiting to kill them with a pickaxe.
Finally if you go into Squads or Duos, you can down a player with any weapon you want. Then while they’re on the ground, hit them with the pickaxe – this usually counts as pickaxe damage towards your challenge progress. This is a good method for any damage challenge, but does require you to play Duo or Squads. Search 7 chests in Risky Reels
On the first week of the challenges being released this might be difficult due to the high volume of players descending on the spot, but isn’t too tough if you try specifically to complete it.
There are quite a lot of possible chest spawns in Risky Reels. If you’re lucky, you can find three spawn points on the northeastern edge of the central crater, with another on the southwestern corner. A safer bet though is that there are four potential spawn points in the house on northern edge of the area, with another two in the barn to the east and two more in the burger joint in the west. You can also find one behind the screen to the south. Consume 20 Hop Rocks, Apples or Mushrooms
The best place to do this challenge will be Lonely Lodge since you can find tons of blue mushrooms littering the floor – especially around the pond towards the northern edge of the area. Each mushroom gives you five points of shield, so if you manage to get up to full, you’ll be done. Get this one done early while everyone else is messing around trying to score goals. Score a goal on 5 different pitches
Oh boy, this one’s gonna be tough. We’ll have a separate page up and ready with the locations of the soccer pitches when the challenge goes live, but the biggest barrier to completing this will be other people. Not only is there usually only one ball – and tons of people try to complete the challenge at once – but other players will be camping these locations HARD. In theory, it’ll be quite simple, all you have to do is kick the ball in the centre of the pitch into one of the goals in five different places.
Don’t fret though, there are four secret pitches that most people don’t know about yet – so take a look at our full guide on how to score on different pitches in Fortnite. Follow the treasure map found in Pleasant Park (Hard)
The challenge leak has confirmed that the treasure map for this week will be located in Pleasant Park. We’ve got a guide of where the Pleasant Park Treasure Map location is, so give it a look. 5 Assault Rifle eliminations (Hard)
These don’t have to be collected in the same game, and assault rifles are quite common, so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Eliminate 3 opponents in Shifty Shafts (Hard)
Around the time that the challenges drop, specified locations are awash with players trying to complete the same objective. If you turn up in Shifty Shafts during the first week the challenges are live, you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding people to eliminate in Shifty Shafts. It’s an area with good weapon drops anyway, so dropping straight in there and joining the melee should be a lot of fun.
All of the other Season 4 weekly challenges are still active, so you can still tackle the Week 6 challenges if you’re stuck. Week 5 Challenges: Greasy Grove treasure map, dance with others, more Week 4 Challenges: Visit 3 different storm centers, search between a bench, ice cream truck and helicopter, more Week 3 Challenges: Search rubber duckies, Salty Springs treasure map, more Week 2 Challenges: Dance in front of film cameras, search between scarecrow, pink hotrod and big screen, more Week 1 Challenges: Search 8 F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E letters, Tomato Town treasure map, more
