The Wests tried their best to keep up with the Kardashians last night on the season premiere of “Celebrity Family Feud.” Even bigger than those Thanksgiving bragging rights, the Steve Harvey-hosted game show carried ABC to a primetime ratings victory over CBS’ Tony Awards.
CBS did manage to average the most overall viewers last night, but it settled for second among the all-important adults 18-49 age range.
In addition to “Celebrity Family Feud,” ABC also aired the season premieres for “The $100,000 Pyramid” and “To Tell the Truth.”

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.1 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 5.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. Following a rerun, “Celebrity Family Feud” at 8 p.m. earned a 1.7/8 and 7.4 million viewers. “The $100,000 Pyramid” at 9 posted a 1.2/5 and 5.8 million viewers. At 10, “To Tell the Truth” received a 0.9/4 and 4.2 million viewers.
CBS was second in ratings with a 0.9/4 and first in viewers with 6.7 million. At 7, “60 Minutes” had a 0.7/3 and 7.8 million viewers. The Tony Awards followed, pulling up the evening’s average among adults 18-49, but dragging it down in terms of total viewers.
NBC was third in ratings with a 0.6/3 and in viewers with 3.2 million, airing all reruns.
