iPhone schematics reveal the 3 new models launching in 2018
A video that was published earlier today by Macotakara describes what are being said to be final design schematics of the three iPhone models due in September, including the more affordable LCD version.
Specifically, Apple will launch three different models, two of which would come with OLED panels. One of them would be a successor to the iPhone X and feature a 5.8-inch display, while the other is likely to launch as a Plus-sized sibling with a 6.5-inch screen.
The third iPhone is the one that Apple seems to be focused on the most, as it’ll be equipped with an LCD panel and hit the market at a lower price. This particular model could account for most of the sales of the new generation, analysts have predicted.
The video here corroborates most of the details that leaked recently. The iPhone X Plus, for instance, is likely to have the same dimensions as the iPhone 8 Plus, as Apple will embrace an edge-to-edge design approach and be able to fit a bigger screen in a similarly-sized body.
Furthermore, the new Plus model is expected to come with a vertical dual-camera system like the iPhone X.
The LCD iPhone, on the other hand, will feature a single-camera unit that’s only slightly bigger than the one on the iPhone 7.
Needless to say, there’s still no confirmation from Apple that these specs are accurate, so take them with a pinch of salt until the September unveiling. More such leaks are expected to follow in the coming weeks, though most of the details are already known at this point.
