Another day and another leak by Videocardz, this time of the ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards. All STRIX, DUAL and Turbo variants have been spotted in all their glory and laid bare for the world to see. Interestingly, it looks like there is still no sign of a Founders Edition GPU. The biggest leak so far has been the PNY dump and if you haven’t taken a look at that yet, drop everything and do so right now.
The first card in the lineup is probably one of the most eagerly anticipated variants of NVIDIA’s RTX 2080 Ti out there – the STRIX. Featuring a very high-performance triple cooler design and the Aura SYNC to go along with it for spectacular RGB, this will be the card to get for them high-end rigs. This is the OC version and will feature 11 GB of GDDR6 memory buffer along a 352-bit bus. Core count will be 4352 CUDA Cores as well as a ray tracing engine.
The TDP of the ASUS RTX 2080 Ti STRIX should be 285 Watts as well if the specifications by PNY are anything to go by. The clock speeds, on the other hand, will probably vary slightly. Since the PNY card had a turbo up to 1545 MHz, you can expect the STRIX OC to go a bit higher (think 10MHz – 50 MHz). Also, keep in mind that turbo boosts are incredibly misleading and real-life clocks will usually be anywhere from 100 MHz – 200 MHz higher due to dynamic overclocking in the drivers.
The ASUS RTX 2080 Ti Turbo was also spotted for people who prefer simplicity and longevity and while the clock rates of this particular card should be lower than the STRIX but the performance will be nothing to sneeze at – not to mention the ray tracing magical engine that NVIDIA is sure to talk about in its upcoming Gamescom launch event. Pricing is not confirmed as of yet but we have been hearing good things (compared to the enormous $1000 launch price that PNY went with) which indicate the RTX 2080 might retail for somewhere along the $649 mark.
The ASUS RTX 2080 DUAL graphics card was also pictured featuring a classy design that will be sure to hit the spot with a lot of black and white build users (KRAIT anyone?). The RTX 2080 DUAL like most of its 2080 brethren will be featuring 8GB of GDDR6 memory and will feature 2944 CUDA Cores. The turbo clock for the PNY variant was 1710 MHz and like always you can expect the STRIX to be clocked slightly higher. The final confirmed specifications thanks to the PNY leak are given below:
