Twitter has disclosed on its Help Center page that private tweets of some Android users were left exposed for years due to a bug.
This seems to be the year of virus attacks and bugs. After WhatsApp and Facebook, now Twitter has disclosed on its Help Center page that private tweets of some Android users were left exposed for years due to a bug. The issue basically disabled the « Protect your Tweets » setting for some Android users who made any changes to their account settings between November 3,2014 and January 14,2019.
Twitter says that the issue was fixed earlier this week on January 14. « We’ve become aware of an issue in Twitter for Android that disabled the « Protect your Tweets » setting if certain account changes were made. You may have been impacted by this issue if you had protected Tweets turned on in your settings, used Twitter for Android, and made certain changes to account settings such as changing the email address associated with your account between November 3,2014, and January 14,2019,  » Twitter wrote on its page.
