The New Yorker magazine on Thursday revealed the cover for its upcoming issue, which shows President Trump building a wall around himself in the Oval Office.
The illustration depicts Trump sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office stacking bricks by hand to surround himself with a barrier. The top of the wall is rimmed with barbed wire.
The cover, titled “Walled In” and drawn by John Cuneo, comes amid a partial government shutdown that was triggered last month by an impasse between lawmakers and Trump over his funding demands for his proposed wall along the southern border.
