If early Twitter reactions are anything to go by, Endgame is going to be universally adored, emotionally triggering, satisfying, and a fundamentally different beast from Infinity War.
Avengers: Endgame is possibly the most anticipated film in cinema history. The film has already broken multiple presales, even besting 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Film Analysts expect it to have the biggest opening weekend in history. According to Boxoffice.com’s predictions, Endgame is expected to make at least $265 million domestically in its opening weekend. Comparatively, Endgame’s predecessor, Avengers: Infinity War, garnered $257 million domestically during its opening weekend, so it’s not unprecedented.
While there’s a small difference between Endgame and Infinity War’s domestic openings, many analysts expect Endgame to eclipse Infinity War’s record-breaking global box office opening.
