Despite the pandemic, schools are reopening, both in person and virtually and that means parents need to stock up on school supplies. Ohio’s annual sales tax holiday will begin this weekend: From midnight Friday, Aug.7 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Aug.9, you can do your back to school shopping tax-free. Tax free weekend begins on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of every August thanks to Senate Bill 226. As long as each item you purchase falls within the items listed above, the entire purchase will be tax free.
