Aug.4 (UPI) — Ford President and CEO Jim Hackett, who has led the company since 2017, will retire this fall and be succeeded in the posts by Chief Operating Officer Jim Farley, the automaker announced Tuesday. The moves will become effective on Oct.1, Ford said in a statement. Hackett,65, and Farley,58, will work together on « a smooth leadership transition » over the next two months, said Executive Chairman William Clay Ford Jr.
