Published on By This week’s crop of Xbox One video game discounts include Red Dead Redemption 2, The Division 2, and an assortment of games from Bethesda. There’s an impressive range of games in this week’s Xbox Deals with Gold lineup. Heavy hitters include a clutch of titles from Ubisoft, headlined by The Division and The Division 2. Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2, which recently received a significant update to its online component, is also reduced by a generous 65%. And the two-game Yooka-Laylee bundle is great value at 67% off. Bethesda fans looking to fill some gaps in their game library should take a look at this week’s QuakeCon sale. Titles from each of the publisher’s major console franchises are on offer, including Doom Eternal, Prey, and Rage 2. Finally, this week’s Spotlight Sale includes every game – and various bundles – from 4A Games’ popular Metro series. All three promotions run through to August 11 on the Xbox digital games store and Microsoft online store. Here are some more highlights. Published on By Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout headlines this week’s lineup of new PlayStation 4 video game releases. You’re excited about Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, right? You should be. Mediatonic’s game comes to PlayStation 4 on Tuesday and is also part of August’s PS Plus free game lineup. Fall Guys gives the battle royale genre a colourful refresh with stumblin’ bumblin’ gameplay inspired by the likes of Takeshi’s Castle. It’s a 60-player online game so delightfully executed that everyone is a winner, no matter where they finish. We’re also rather enchanted by Skully from Finish Line Games. It’s not a video game adaptation of the classic kids street game, rather a 3D adventure in which you must hop, skip, and roll a skull round a mysterious island. An intriguing narrative and some wild environments make Skully a game to keep in mind. Also racing onto PS4 this week is Fast and Furious Crossroads. We have a suspicion the game will be neither fast nor furious. Other new PS4 games include Wizards: Wand of Epicosity, Roguecube, and Clan N. Release dates are not locked in for every new PS4 release, but we’ll update this page as news filters through. Bookmark the Thumbsticks new releases page for the latest video games.
