Beating victim recants accusation after video surfaces showing the Rams star trying to assist him while he was being attacked
A man has recanted his accusations that Rams star Aaron Donald was among the people who assaulted him last weekend at a party in Pittsburgh, according to the man’s attorney. DeVincent Spriggs,26, had filed a criminal complaint with Pittsburgh police Wednesday, alleging the 29-year-old Donald assaulted him early Sunday morning, causing facial and arm injuries. A video released Friday showed Donald assisting and pulling people off Spriggs, who was being kicked by others as he was on the ground. Todd Hollis, the attorney for Spriggs, told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review his client wants to make sure the correct person is punished. “I can understand why my client believed he was engaged with Aaron Donald because the individual he was fighting bears a very close resemblance,” Hollis said.
