To celebrate the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Microsoft today announced call captioning with live captions & subtitles in Skype. This feature now works on the latest version of Skype version 8 on Android (6.0+), Android tablet, iPhone, iPad, Linux, Mac, Windows, and Skype for Windows 10 (version 14) for both one-on-one\u2026<\/b>
\nTo celebrate the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Microsoft today announced call captioning with live captions & subtitles in Skype. This feature now works on the latest version of Skype version 8 on Android (6.0+), Android tablet, iPhone, iPad, Linux, Mac, Windows, and Skype for Windows 10 (version 14) for both one-on-one and group calls. For now, the captions and subtitles auto-scroll in your call. But in the future update, Skype will add additional viewing options, including the ability to scroll through them in their own side window.
How to turn live captions & subtitles on in Skype:
To enable live captions & subtitles as the default for all Skype calls:
Skype also announced translations feature that support over 20 languages and dialects. Translation feature will be available in the coming weeks.
