Sony skipped its \u00ab\u00a0compact\u00a0\u00bb variant of the Xperia XZ3, but now it appears there will be a Sony Xperia XZ4 Compact. Here are some leaked renders!<\/b>
\nTrusted leaker @OnLeaks just pushed out some new renders of the Sony Xperia XZ4 Compact (via XDA Developers). It was only a little over a week ago that we saw leaked renders \u2014 also from @OnLeaks \u2014 for the vanilla Sony Xperia XZ4.
Sony\u2019s \u201ccompact\u201d variants of its flagship smartphones are notably smaller and less-fully featured than the main line. While this might seem like a peculiar strategy (and the opposite of what most brands do), in a market where pretty much every flagship phone is enormous, there are certainly plenty of folks out there who are clamoring for a phone that\u2019s just a bit smaller.
Both the Sony Xperia XZ1 and the XZ2 had Compact models, but for some reason the Sony Xperia XZ3 did not. Sony, apparently, is pulling back on that decision to eliminate the Compact variant, because\u2026well, here we are.

The renders don\u2019t give us any ideas about specs for the Xperia XZ4 Compact, but we can tell a little bit about it. For example, there\u2019s a single camera sensor on the rear, which the main XZ4 isn\u2019t likely to have (it likely has three sensors). There also doesn\u2019t appear to be a rear fingerprint sensor, which likely means the XZ4 Compact has a side-mounted sensor, just like we assume the XZ4 will have.
