President Donald Trump took aim on Twitter at Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer over the border wall funding issue.<\/b>
\nPresident Donald Trump used the suspected terror attack in Strasbourg, France, to criticize Democrat leaders in Congress over the border wall he wants to build but is struggling to secure funding for.
\u201cAnother very bad terror attack in France. We are going to strengthen our borders even more. Chuck and Nancy must give us the votes to get additional Border Security!\u201d Trump wrote on Twitter first thing Wednesday morning.

In a follow-up tweet, Trump wrote: \u201cThe Democrats and President Obama gave Iran 150 Billion Dollars and got nothing, but they can\u2019t give 5 Billion Dollars for National Security and a Wall?\u201d
Trump has sought to depict the undocumented migrants heading for the U. S. as an \u201cinvasion\u201d of criminals and even terrorists, despite little evidence that those traveling up to the southern border in caravans are anything other than refugees from poverty and violence .
On Wednesday night, a gunman killed two people, left one more person brain-dead, and wounded twelve others in an attack on a Christmas market on the French city of Strasbourg .
R\u00e9my Heitz, the Paris public prosecutor, said suspected attacker Ch\u00e9rif Chekatt shouted \u00ab\u00a0Allahu Akbar\u00a0\u00bb as he opened fire on the festive crowd before escaping in a hijacked taxi, the BBC reported. He is on the run and there is a manhunt underway by French police.
The latest French terror attack occurred after a tempestuous meeting in the Oval Office between the president and Congressional Democratic leaders Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer.
Trump hoped to make a deal that would end the current budget impasse and avoid a government shutdown. He wants Democrats to get behind a budget that would hand him $5 billion to build his much-vaunted southern border wall.
But Pelosi and Schumer made it clear that he would not get their approval for the money, putting the government on course for a shutdown before Christmas if no budget is agreed.
When pushed by Schumer, Trump said he would take responsibility for any shutdown and be \u201cproud\u201d to do so because it would be in the name of \u201cborder security.\u201d
It undercut the message of Trump’s own Republicans in Congress that the Democrats are to blame for blockading the budget and risking a shutdown.
Speaking on MSNBC\u2019s Hardball Tuesday night, Los Angeles Times White House reporter Eli Stokols that the meeting \u00ab\u00a0frustrated\u00a0\u00bb Trump.
Stokols said that after Pelosi and Schumer left the Oval Office, Trump \u00ab\u00a0stormed out\u00a0\u00bb and headed into an ante-room with his briefing papers \u00ab\u00a0and he just scattered them out of frustration, threw them across the room.\u00a0\u00bb
