Trump tweeted to Democrats on Monday: \u201ccome back from vacation now and give us the votes necessary for Border Security, including the Wall.\u201d
There has been little contact between the White House and congressional Democrats for more than a week, other than the Republican president\u2019s Twitter barbs, as the two parties remain divided over his insistence on funding for a wall along the U. S.-Mexico border.
Trump says Democrats supported border security funding before, though that funding provided for fencing, not a wall. Trump tweets: \u201cYou voted yes in 2006 and 2013. One more yes, but with me in office, I\u2019ll get it built, and Fast!\u201d
Trump promised on the campaign trail that Mexico would pay for the wall, but Mexico refused.

It\u2019s incredible how Democrats can all use their ridiculous sound bite and say that a Wall doesn\u2019t work. It does, and properly built, almost 100%! They say it\u2019s old technology \u2013 but so is the wheel. They now say it is immoral- but it is far more immoral for people to be dying!
