\nBungie has provided a roadmap of content for Destiny 2: Season of the Drifter.
Destiny 2: Season of the Drifter kicks off next week and it looks as though players will have plenty to do, going by the roadmap.
Like Season of the Forge, Season of the Drifter will run for 90 days. It will feature all sorts of content ranging from Annual Pass content to the Arc Week event.
One cool feature coming with Season of the Drifter is the new Power Surge bounties. These allow you to earn level 640 gear without having to slog through the questlines. Just know these sound a bit like fetch quests.
We\u2019ve pulled information out of the roadmap for you and posted it below.
Looking over the roadmap, starting on March 5 pass holders can take part in Gambit Prime, which launches with the New Arcadia (Mars) map. A second map, Deep Six (Titan), will be released March 12. March 19 will see the Legion\u2019s Folly (Nessus) map added to Gambit Prime. The Emerald Coast Map (Earth) arrives on March 26.
Four-player PvP mode The Reckoning will arrive on March 5 and a tier two difficultly version will go live on March 8. Tier three will go live on March 15.
Come March 12, all players can choose between either the Drifter or Vanguard when the Allegiance quest goes live. This is character based, so make sure you are comfortable with the side you choose. Or just side with the other on a different character. This questline seems tied to Thorn going by the roadmap image. We\u2019re curious whether it\u2019s been nerfed since it\u2019s first appearance.
The hand cannon\u2019s return mirrors that of The Last Word, which returned to the game back in January with The Draw exotic questline .
Starting March 15, Invitations of the Nine go live and task you with completing bounties to learn more about the Nine and their place in the universe. Once upon a time referred to as Xer Bounties, Pass holders should have a chat with the man himself to start the questline, which will last for nine weeks.
Looking further ahead in Season of the Drifter, pass holders will be able to learn new combat specialties and face new challenges. As you can see in the roadmap, all of this content will roll out over time. But there\u2019s plenty for those who aren\u2019t Annual Pass holders too, in the form of smaller updates, a new festival called The Revelry, Iron Banner, a week dedicated to all things Arc, Gambit maps, and of course, the power cap increase.
