S. is not dealing with the pandemic as good as countries in the European Union.<br \/>As New York Magazine reported, Trump has long used nicknames to attack and denigrate his political opponents. During the 2016 presidential election, he used nicknames to slam both Republicans and Democrats.<br \/>Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush was nicknamed \u201cLow-Energy Jeb,\u201d while Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas was called \u201cLyin\u2019 Ted.\u201d Trump called Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida \u201cLiddle Marco\u201d and referred to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as \u201cCrooked Hillary.\u201d<br \/>The president has attacked his general election opponent Joe Biden in a similar way, nicknaming him \u201cSleepy.\u201d Some White House advisers have reportedly urged him to stop using the insult, arguing that it is weak and ineffective.<br \/>Pelosi has previously tried to use Trump\u2019s language against him.
