This spooky-cute adventure game will be released for PC and consoles in early 2022, but a free prologue is now available on Steam for those who want to try it. Children of Silentown is a hand-drawn adventure game developed by the same team behind Little Briar Rose, in collaboration with studio Luna2. In Children of Silentown, players will accompany Lucy, the protagonist, and her friends trying to discover the mystery behind the disappearance of Silentown inhabitants. \u201c Lucy is afraid of the forest, just like any other child: every night, the echoing roars rob her of her sleep. Not even her dreams are a safe place where she could play. People disappearing is nothing uncommon in the village, but this time, Lucy is old enough to investigate on her own. Or so she thinks.\u201d Throughout the game, players will solve puzzles, find clues, combine items, meet interesting characters and animals, as well as \u201cdeal with a very mean cat\u201d whatever that might mean. Apparently, the game comes with a warning too: don\u2019t enter the forest! Children of Silentown is a more akin the atmospheric genre, so music plays a major role in the game. In fact, one of the gameplay mechanics involves learning how to sing to help the protagonist in times of need. Apart from the fitting music, Children of Silentown also promises a unique, grim 2D art style that\u2019s appropriate for a mysterious, dark tale like the one told in the upcoming game. While waiting for more details about the Children of Silentown\u2019s release, fans of the adventure genre can try out the free prologue to get a feel for the game.
