\nA Texas inmate convicted of killing two brothers in 1991 is scheduled to be executed on Tuesday. Rick Allan Rhoades,57, allegedly stabbed Charles and Bradley Allen to death in Houston on Sept.13,1991, a day after being paroled on a previous burglary charge. \u201cRhoades entered the home of and murdered two brothers while they slept. Rhoades also stole money from the victims,\u201d the Texas Department of Criminal Justice states on its website. Rhoades had previously pursued an appeal in his case. An appeals court agreed in 2017 to review a judge\u2019s decision in 1992 to not show photos from Rhoades\u2019 youth to jurors. The review looked into an assertion that the photos would show Rhoades wasn\u2019t violent. Rhoades was 27 at the time of the two brothers\u2019 deaths. Rhodes\u2019 execution is one of five that are scheduled to take place in Texas between Tuesday and the end of 2021, records from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice show.
