Public testers can install the new beta as well<\/b>
\nEarlier this week, Apple officially announced the first beta of iOS 15.2 for developers, and now the company is making this early version of the next operating system update available for public testers too. In other words, no matter if you\u2019re a developer or not, you can just download iOS 15.2 beta 1 and install it on your device, as long as you set up the beta certificate on your iPhone. This is good news not only for public testers but for Apple too, as more users get to try out the new operating system update and therefore send feedback that helps the company further polish the overall experience. And while many people are tempted to install these beta builds because they provide early access to new features and improvements, you should also know they typically come with an increased likelihood of problems. This is the reason they\u2019re called betas in the first place, so you\u2019d better not install them on your main device. One of the biggest changes in iOS 15.2 is the addition of App Privacy Report, which offers more information on how apps installed on the device use your data. \u201ciOS 15 and iPadOS 15 introduced the Record App Activity feature, allowing people to save a summary of sensor, data, and internet access from apps on their device. This activity can be exported in JSON format by tapping Save App Activity,\u201d Apple explains. \u201cIn iOS 15.2 beta and iPadOS 15.2 beta, this activity will be presented in a new UI called App Privacy Report. This is a great opportunity to review your app’s sensor, data, and internet usage. To view your app’s activity in the report, install the beta releases, then go to Settings > Privacy > App Privacy Report > Turn On App Privacy Report. Activity will show once you use your app.\u201d iOS 15.2 doesn\u2019t yet have a release date, but most likely, it will go live next month or in early December.<\/p>\n
