Film sequel to Showtime drama premieres in January<\/b>
\nShowtime has released the first trailer for its upcoming \u00ab\u00a0Ray Donovan\u00a0\u00bb movie, which you can see above. Star Liev Schreiber returns to his Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated role, and co-wrote the script along with series showrunner David Hollander, who will also serve as director. The new film picks up where season seven left off, with Mickey (Voight) in the wind and Ray (Schreiber) determined to find and stop him before he can cause any more carnage. It will also weave together the present-day fallout from the Donovan\/Sullivan feud with Ray and Mickey’s origin story from 30 years ago. The movie will premiere on Friday, Jan.14 at 9 p.m. ET\/PT. Original cast members reprising their roles include Eddie Marsan as Ray\u2019s brother Terry, Dash Mihok as Ray\u2019s brother Bunchy, Pooch Hall as the Donovan\u2019s half-brother Daryll, Kerris Dorsey as Ray\u2019s daughter Bridget, Katherine Moennig as Lena, along with Kerry Condon as Molly Sullivan and Jon Voight as Mickey Donovan. The show ran from 2013 to 2020 and had 82 episodes, which earned multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, Writers Guild and Critics\u2019 Choice nominations. Voight won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series of Motion Picture Made for Television.
