The NHTSA said it confirmed that this functionality has been available to drivers since December 2020. \u00ab\u00a0Prior to this time, gameplay was enabled only when the vehicle was in Park,\u00a0\u00bb it said. The New York Times spoke to a Tesla Model 3 owner in December who said he’d discovered he was able to play games including solitaire on his car’s touchscreen while driving.
