\nOf all the streaming services, HBO Max has gone through some of the biggest changes since it launched Whatever you call it, it delivers a serious selection of shows and movies from all of its partner networks in 2025, including HBO, Discovery, Food Network, and more. New shows and movies are constantly being added, so here are my three top picks for this weekend and the week ahead, plus everything being added below.This Week on Max: PCMag’s PicksTeen Titans Go!, Season 9B (June 14)
For some inexplicable reason, probably related to arcane accounting, HBO Max has removed the first seven seasons of popular superhero spoof show Teen Titans Go from the streaming service. It’s also adding more recent seasons at the same time. Robin, Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg, and Raven are the Teen Titans, dealing with stupid situations during their downtime from battling villains.

Entering its third season is The Gilded Age, a saucy series from Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes. Much like that show, The Gilded Age is anchored by strong performances from iconic female talents, most notably Carrie Coon as the wife of a robber baron trying to break into upper-class society and Louisa Jacobson as Marian Brook, our POV character, forced to live with her wealthy old-money aunts.

With the United States becoming increasingly hostile to transgender people, it’s worth taking a look back to honor trailblazers from earlier years. New documentary Enigma follows the lives of two inspiring and powerful women, European disco queen Amanda Lear and English model April Ashley, both of whom left behind their assigned birth sex to become iconic. Early reviews have been extremely positive.
