The show then cut to a clip of President Trump being questioned by a reporter outside the White House, where he was asked how he was holding up in the wake of Kirk\u2019s assassination.
The commander-in-chief said, \u201cI think very good,\u201d then changed the subject to renovations being done to the White House ballroom, before cutting back to Kimmel.

Kimmel then doubled down, sharing that it wasn\u2019t the first time since Kirk\u2019s murder that he redirected a question about the Turning Point USA founder back to the White House ballroom.
The show then cut to a clip of Trump on \u201cFox & Friends\u201d two days after Kirk\u2019s death, explaining he was going over the renovations with the architects when he got the news, before cutting back to Kimmel.

Nexstar Media Group, the major broadcast company that serves as a primary affiliate for ABC, confirmed that it would \u201cpreempt\u201d Kimmel\u2019s program in the wake of his remarks.
\u201cThe company\u2019s owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt \u2018Jimmy Kimmel Live!\u2019 for the foreseeable future, beginning with tonight\u2019s show,\u201d Nexstar said in a press release.
\u201cNexstar strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets,\u201d it continued.
