Annual Interfaith Breakfast brings the community together to discuss justice, radical love and equality in the name of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.<\/b>
\nDoors opened at 6 a.m. Monday morning to welcome hundreds of visitors to the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This year marks the 45th annual Interfaith prayer breakfast, sponsored by the Triangle MLK Jr. Committee and Capitol Broadcasting Company.

The 2026 theme is \u00ab\u00a0Mission Possible: The Power of Justice and Radical Love\u00a0\u00bb. The program begins at 7:15 a.m., featuring keynote speaker Rev. Jemonde Taylor and hosted by WRAL’s Gerald Owens.
Taylor serves as reverend at Saint Ambrose Episcopal Church in Raleigh. He grew up in Louisburg, N.C., and grew up attending Saint Mattias’ Episcopal Church.
His liturgical approach focuses on honoring African American and African cultures. With an emphasis on Ethiopian Orthodox icons and music based on African American Spirituals and Jazz Mass.
Taylor will lead a conversation centered around the exploration of the intersectionality of Christianity, race and culture.<\/p>\n
