\nJan. 21 HD Hyundai Chairman Chung Ki-sun attended the 2026 World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, and agreed with Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp to expand cooperation across the South Korean conglomerate’s businesses, the company said Wednesday.
HD Hyundai said Chung took part in key sessions of the forum being held from Monday through Friday under the theme \u00ab\u00a0A Spirit of Dialogue.\u00a0\u00bb The company said he discussed artificial intelligence-driven industrial transformation and innovation tied to the energy transition with global leaders.
Chung, attending Davos for the fourth straight year, met Karp on Tuesday and agreed to broaden the strategic partnership between the two companies, HD Hyundai said.
The company said it plans to accelerate digital transformation by expanding cooperation across the group, including affiliates such as HD Hyundai Electric, HD Hyundai Robotics and HD Hyundai Marine Solutions.
HD Hyundai said it has used Palantir’s big data solutions and artificial intelligence platform since 2021, beginning with HD Hyundai Oilbank, in core businesses including shipbuilding and offshore operations, energy and construction machinery.
Chung said the expanded partnership will connect the group’s data and workflows into a single system to enable faster and more sophisticated decision-making, HD Hyundai said. Karp said the partnership would open a new chapter of innovation and support the group’s competitiveness while creating sustainable value, the company said.
HD Hyundai said it plans to set up a joint Center of Excellence with Palantir to strengthen employees’ data analytics and AI capabilities and secure long-term growth engines.
The company said Chung will also attend the Energy Industry Council meeting, following his participation last year, to exchange views on energy transition, energy security and technological innovation.
