Two independent investigators found that batteries provided by a Samsung affiliate overheated due to pressure on the right corner of the battery, the company said, while those batteries in the replacement devices had a \u201cfused bump.\u201d
The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that the problems pointed to a battery that didn\u2019t fit into its phone casing, and to manufacturing flaws related to intensified production.
