According to a new report, Samsung states that it will be producing an estimated initial batch of 20 million Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices. The handset will arrive on carriers in mid-April.<\/b>
Yesterday, Samsung finally unveiled its much-leaked handsets, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. While this will be the firm’s first flagship to arrive on the market since the Galaxy Note7 , it hopes that there will be heavy anticipation and has prepared quite a sizeable initial batch of devices to make sure that supplies will be plentiful.
Samsung’s DJ Koh stated in a press briefing:
While manufacturing of the products is at an all-time high, the firm has emphasized that it is taking new precautions in order to prevent any issues from occurring. Samsung will initially produce an estimated 20 million Galaxy S8 and S8+.
The smartphones will make their way to carriers in the US starting in mid-April, with Galaxy S8 being priced at $749.99, and the S8+ at $849.99. As of today, you can now start pre-ordering the handset from various US carriers with added perks like a free Gear VR.
