It Wasn’t A Women’s March, Check The Fine Print

NewsHubOn Saturday, hundreds of thousands of men and women marched under the guise of women’s rights.
They marched against President Donald Trump and for Black Lives Matter, the environment, gay marriage and abortion.
They didn’t march for women’s rights.
At least, not in the all-encompassing way the title, Women’s March on Washington, would have you believe.
It was a rejection of unity; a march for liberalism and the left.
And if you are a woman that prescribes to any belief outside of those strictly regulated by the left, you need not have attended. (VIDEO: CNN Analyst Says Women’s March About Liberalism, Not Women)
No pro-life women’s groups were allowed to be Women’s March partners. New Wave Feminism , a pro-life feminist group, applied and was accepted as a march partner. It was then removed once people caught wind of its abortion stance.
The confusion and contradiction in branding could be seen in conflicting statements by march organizer Bob Bland and an official statement released by the march.
“Intersectional feminism is the future of feminism and of this movement,” said Bland, according to The Atlantic . “We must not just talk about feminism as one issue, like access to reproductive care.”
“The Women’s March’s platform is pro-choice and that has been our stance from day one,” march organizers stated after removing New Wave Feminism. “The anti-choice organization in question is not a partner of the Women’s March on Washington. We apologize for this error.”
What a horrible error, including an organization that pushes the views of millions of women across America. That view has actually increased, according to Gallup. Gallup asked participants, “With respect to the abortion issue, would you consider yourself to be pro-choice or pro-life?”
Between mid-2015 and mid-2016, those identifying as anti-abortion went up from 44 to 46 percent. Pro-abortion dipped from 50 percent to 47 percent.
The marches that occurred all around America and the world are being lauded as some great accomplishment for our sex, but it’s only an accomplishment for liberal women, and one that specifically left out a large swath of the female population.
That is because the left has co-opted women’s rights as synonymous with abortion promotion. They are so intertwined that it’s now impossible to see where one begins and the other ends. This melding inherently rejects a sect of women as inferior. It sends the message that if you are not staunchly pro-abortion, you are not a woman, you are not a feminist, and you are not useful. It succeeded in reaffirming the radical divides modern feminism has created among us. (RELATED: Feminists Love To Hate Melania Trump, And It’s Hurting Their Cause)
So rather than being the Women’s March on Washington, it was the Liberal March on Washington.
President Trump has said incredibly offensive things about both women and men. He has no qualms about going after people with incendiary rhetoric when they push back against him. He makes crude remarks that denigrate the value of women and reduce their value to their physical being. Women should have been marching for their value, worth and moxy. Instead, they marched for a hodge-podge of liberal political beliefs under the clever marketing ploy of “women.”
As I have said before, we are our own undoing. Modern feminism is tearing women apart — Trump is no excuse for that.
