Orange County football teams have selected the home sites, times and dates for their games in the second round of the CIF-SS playoffs.
Orange Lutheran, the visitor last week in a 28-25 upset win over Division 1’s fourth-seeded team, Chaminade of West Hills, will be the home team Friday against Mission Viejo at Orange Coast College at 7 p.m.
In Division 2, Edison will play its second-round game against Oaks Christian of Westlake Village at Huntington Beach High. Edison was the visitor when it beat La Habra 28-27 in overtime last week.
When two teams meet after the first round of the playoffs, the team with the fewest number of playoff home games at that point of the playoffs is the home team. If the two teams have played the same number of playoff home games a coin flip determines the home team.
Among the coin-flip losers was Mater Dei, which will travel to face Long Beach Poly on Friday at Veterans Stadium in Long Beach. The Division 1 game starts at 7 p.m.
Corona del Mar, which won its coin flip, will face Downey at Newport Harbor High on Friday in a Division 4 second-round game.
In Division 9, Woodbridge won its coin flip and will be the home team against Mayfair of Lakewood on Friday at University High.
Two county teams will play their second-round games Thursday.
In Division 11, Westminster will be the visiting team Thursday night against Covina at Covina District Field, and La Quinta will beat at Garden Grove High on Thursday to face Webb of Claremont in a Division 13 game.
Garden Grove is using the Garden Grove High stadium on Friday when the Argonauts play Silverado of Victorville in a Division 8 game.
In Division 12, Santa Ana will be home team against Godinez on Friday night at Santa Ana Stadium. Godinez beat Santa Ana 23-13 on Sept 1, the Saints’ only loss this season.
In Division 7, Fullerton will be home against St. Margaret’s on Friday.
