Portland Chamber Music Festival names artistic director.
Drummond Woodsum Strategic Consulting announced it hired Mark Gallagher as a government relations and campaign consultant.
Gallagher is a non-lawyer consultant with more than 23 years of experience in the legislative and electoral process. He was previously the state director for U. S. Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Massachusetts.
Richard Raskin, M. D., joined MaineGeneral Rheumatology in Augusta.
Raskin brings more than 25 years of clinical rheumatology experience with an interest and expertise in geriatric rheumatology.
Abigail Hilt joined Down East Magazine as digital marketing coordinator.
Hilt previously worked as marketing strategist at Dream Local Digital in Rockland, helping to grow its online audience and increase brand awareness.
Michele Whitmore was promoted to assistant vice president of portfolio administration at R. M. Davis. She joined the firm in 1999.
Denise Vigneault was promoted to assistant vice president of human resources at R. M. Davis. She joined the firm in 1999.
Malcolm Hill, the Clarence E. Denoon Jr. Professor of Science at Bates College, was named vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty effective July 1.
Hill is a former associate dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, and former chair of the biology department at the University of Richmond.
Hill will work with colleagues to set the intellectual direction of the college, foster a strong faculty culture, and lead the evolution of the Bates academic experience.
Ryan Francis was named administrator of the Barron Center in Portland.
Francis had previously been the director of life enrichment and volunteer coordinator at the Barron Center since 2015. He has more than 10 years of experience in therapeutic recreation. He recently completed and passed the National Nursing Home Administrators Board exam required to obtain licensure.
The Portland Chamber Music Festival announced that Melissa Reardon was named artistic director.
Reardon succeeds PCMF’s founding Artistic Director Jennifer Elowitch, who will step down following the 25th anniversary season in August 2018.
Reardon is an internationally renowned performer whose solo and chamber playing spans all musical genres. As a member of the Ensō String Quartet since 2006, she has toured both nationally and internationally.
