Officials say alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash
Maine Game wardens say speed and alcohol were contributing factors in a deadly snowmobile crash Sunday that killed a father and son in Hermon.
Officials said Jason Tracy, 33, of Hermon, and his son, 10, were killed when the snowmobile they were driving struck a tree on the edge of a field.
It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators said Tracy’s son was wearing a helmet but Tracy was not.
The crash remains under investigation by Maine Game Wardens, State Police and Penobscot County deputies.
