The mansion is said to have been purchased from “Will & Grace” creator Max Mutchnick.
It looks like the crooner behind “Moves Like Jagger” also has some serious real estate moves. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has purchased a Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion for a hefty $35.5 million, TMZ reported .
The Tudor-style estate, by all accounts a “masterpiece,” measures 12,000 square feet and has seven bedrooms, eight baths, a screening room and library. The home sits on an acre of parklike grounds and features a tennis court, guesthouse, pool, tropical garden and mature trees.
Built in the 1930s, the gated estate was once owned by Pete Sampras (who practiced on the championship court during his grand slam reign). It was sold to “Will & Grace” creator Max Mutchnick for $23 million in June 2008. It never reached the market this time around, as Levine purchased it in an off-market transaction.

Levine, a coach on “The Voice,” has been busy wheeling and dealing his Los Angeles–area properties. As Realtor.com reported in November, the 38-year-old put two homes on the market at the same time.
There was the 7,000-square-foot bachelor pad, also located in Beverly Hills. The initial list price of $17.5 million was slashed to $15.9 million, and the home is now in pending sale status. The second home, in Holmby Hills, was in need of a major renovation, so Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, decided to list it instead, for $18.9 million. It ended up selling for the price Levine paid, $18 million.
