Amazon is probably the biggest online retailer that takes a full advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday events to discount their own devices, as well offer discounts on a wide range of different product categories, including TVs, laptops and desktops, smart devices, external data storage, popular appliances, such as Instant Pot, Roomba robotic vacuums, and much more.
Last year, the Amazon Echo’s price was reduced by £20, Amazon Echo Dot reduced from £49.99 to £34.99 and the Amazon Echo Plus was brought down from £139.99 to £109.99. The Amazon Fire tablets, Amazon Fire TV sticks and Amazon Kindle e-Readers also saw some heavy discounts.
However, these shopping events are not limited to Amazon only, as all major retailers, including AO, Amazon, John Lewis and Currys PC World tend to compete with each other for the best tech deals. Last year LG OLED C7 65-inch 4K HDR OLED TV sold for £2,499 at Currys PC World, which meant a whooping £1800 off list price. Amazon Prime members get access to lightning deals that tend to expire fast. You can sign up to a free 30-day trial membership or pay for one month of Prime for only £7.99 if you don’t want to commit to a one year membership, which costs £79 .
Students can sign up for a free six month trial and if you’ve used that up, you can get 50% off a year of Prime at £39 per year for up to four years.
