Police say the driver was cooperative and no arrest was reported.
An 85-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car and killed late Saturday in a Fountain Valley parking lot. Officers shortly after 4:30 p.m. responded to reports of a woman being struck by a driver backing a Lexus SUV out of a parking space in a lot at 18405 Brookhurst Street, according to a Fountain Valley Police Department statement.
