Also in the speech, Trump kept up his pressure on OPEC, of which Iran is a member. He said the cartel is \u201cripping off\u201d the rest of the world. \u201cWe want them to start lowering prices,\u201d Trump said, echoing a demand he made as recently as last week.
Trump thanked Kim for his \u201ccourage\u201d and said conflict had been replaced with a \u201cpush for peace.\u201d But the president said much work needed to be done on disarming the Korean Peninsula and that sanctions would remain on North Korea until it denuclearizes.
