\nAmazon Studios announced on Monday it\u2019s closed a first-look deal with Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis and Julius Tennon\u2019s Juvee Productions
Under the deal, Davis and Tennon\u2019s production banner will exclusively produce film content for Amazon.

Davis recently wrapped shooting on Amazon Studios\u2019 \u201cTroupe Zero,\u201d also starring Allison Janney and Jim Gaffigan. The film is a heartwarming comedy about a band of misfit outcasts is directed by Bert & Bertie, written by Lucy Alibar, and will be released in 2019.
Amazon Studios has also recently locked in production deals with Jason Blum\u2019s Blumhouse TV for eight direct-to-service movies, Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman\u2019s Blossom Films, The Handmaid\u2019s Tale director Reed Morano, and Academy Award winning director Jordan Peele.
