\nNo, this isn\u2019t clickbait. If you\u2019re aching to know how to catch Mew in Pokemon Let\u2019s Go then you\u2019ve come to the right place. Whether you\u2019re looking to complete your Pokedex by catching #151 or just want the legendary Pokemon for nostalgia\u2019s stake, the Mew location in Pokemon Let\u2019s Go Eevee and Pokemon Let\u2019s Go Pikachu is going to be high up on your priority list, no matter what.
First things first, there is no way to catch Mew through conventional means. Unlike Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave or Zapdos in the Power Plant and others in our Wild Legendaries guide, the legendary psychic Pokemon isn\u2019t going to pop up out of nowhere. To get Mew, you\u2019re going to need to buy (or already own) the Poke Ball Plus, the accessory that acts as a controller and a Poke Ball in-game.
If you don\u2019t have one, you can buy them in a bundle with the Pokemon Let\u2019s Go version of your choice or separately for $49.99\/\u00a344.99.
Now, before you\u2019ve even reached the first Gym (and at any other time in the game) you can switch your Poke Ball Plus on and get Mew. Here\u2019s how to do it.
Press the menu button on your controller and go to the Communicate tile. From there, press Mystery Gifts. Select the third option: \u201cGet With a Poke Ball Plus.\u201d
Click through the prompts and, when it says \u201cWould you like to receive it?\u201d hit yes (duh) and make sure your Nintendo Switch is connected to the Internet.
And\u2026 you\u2019re done. The whole process, all told, takes about 45 seconds and, once it\u2019s finished, you\u2019ll have a Level 1 Mew waiting for you in your PC or in your party if there\u2019s enough space.
This one\u2019s super easy, too. Pause the game and go to \u201cOptions.\u201d The second button, \u201cOpen Controller Settings\u201d is your destination. Once there, you\u2019ll be met with all possible controller options. Click the control stick in on your Poke Ball Plus and away you go!
You can only get Mew once using your Poke Ball Plus and it is tied to one save and one save only. You cannot transfer it across saves, nor can you get a second Mew in a new save game.
As we\u2019ve already reported, deleting your Mew save game will mean that you\u2019ll lose Mew for good. Don\u2019t do that. Seriously. If you have done, there\u2019s no way to get it back.
