As Hideo Kojima refers to it, the “definitive version” of Death Stranding will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store starting March 30, for just $40. However, owners of the original version will be able to upgrade to the Director’s Cut for the discounted price of $10 by installing the current game and purchasing through the in-game storefront. More importantly, players who don’t own the current game can find it at a discounted rate of 70% off during Steam’s Lunar Sale (January 27 through February 3). Then, they can just upgrade to the Director’s Cut for an additional $10 when the game gets released on March 30. As far as the improvements go, Death Stranding Director’s Cut further enhances the game’s visuals with higher frame rates, ultrawide monitor support, and a brand-new feature-rich photo mode that allows players to better capture the game’s stunning vistas. Also, the definitive version of Death Stranding includes extra missions and new equipment to help players deliver packages faster and more convenient. For example, a new Cargo Cannon will be available in the Director’s Cut, which launches packages at long distances. Also, a new robotic friend called BuddyBot will be carrying packages for you. Finally, a firing range, test driving course, and improved stealth mechanics have been added to the Director’s Cut too. Keep in mind that each copy of the game comes with several cosmetics: If you don’t own the original game yet, you can get it for $18 until February 3, but don’t play it until the definitive version arrives until March 30.

The definitive version will be available on Steam and Epic After launching the extended version of Death Stranding on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 last year, Kojima Productions in partnership with publisher 505 Games announced the so-called Director’s Cut will be released on PC in March.
