\u201cThey hate everything about Israel, and they should be ashamed of themselves because Israel will be destroyed [under Democratic leadership],\u201d Trump added, noting Iran\u2019s ambition to create a nuclear weapon and the Biden administration\u2019s easing of sanctions against the US adversary.
The 77-year-old former president said he thinks \u201cthe Democrat Party hates Israel\u201d as well, taking exception to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer\u2019s (D-NY) recent criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s handling of the Jewish state\u2019s war against Hamas.\u00a0
Trump argued that by criticizing Netanyahu, Schumer is trying to win over demonstrators\u00a0participating in large-scale anti-Israel protests.\u00a0
\u201cGuys like Schumer see that \u2013\u00a0 and to him it\u2019s votes,\u201d the 45th president said. \u201cI think it\u2019s votes more than anything else, because he was always pro-Israel.\u201d\u00a0

The Biden campaign slammed Trump over his remarks.

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates also rebuked Trump, casting his comments as \u201cvile and unhinged Antisemitic rhetoric.\u201d\u00a0
