\nThe country\u2019s largest cooperative and Korean company Safe Zone have agreed to develop the country\u2019s first modern survival school.
The ACDI Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Safe Zone agreed to build the school in the Calabarzon region which will be funded by Korean investors to fund the facilities.
ACDI chair retired Maj. Gen. Gilbert Llanto and Park Gi-yong of Safe Zone, formalized the partnership in an agreement that was signed on Wednesday.
Llanto said the survival school will cater to both Filipino and international students, focusing on training responders to manage disasters and emergencies effectively.
This initiative will strengthen the Philippines\u2019 disaster response capabilities while bolstering tourism.
The facilities will also be made available to the Office of Civil Defense, local governments, ROTC cadets, and other organizations involved in disaster and emergency response.
Llanto underscored the project\u2019s importance in addressing the growing complexity of disasters exacerbated by climate change.
The survival school will feature modern training programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and expert personnel to meet these challenges.<\/p>\n
