\nThe Pebble Round 2 has been announced as a spiritual successor to the 2015 Pebble Time Round.
It has a larger 1.3-inch display with slimmer bezels, up to 14 days of battery life, two microphones, and step\/sleep tracking.
Pre-orders begin today for $199, with shipping starting in May.
2025 was a surprisingly big year for Pebble fans. Last March, former Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky unexpectedly launched two new Pebble smartwatches: the Pebble 2 Duo and the Pebble Time 2. Now, on just the second day of 2026, Migicovsky has announced a third Pebble smartwatch \u2014 the Pebble Round 2.
For all intents and purposes, the Pebble Round 2 is a spiritual successor to the Pebble Time Round, Pebble\u2019s excellent circular smartwatch that was released in 2015. At first glance, the new watch looks indistinguishable from its older sibling. However, there are a couple of key upgrades that fix the original Pebble Time Round\u2019s biggest flaws.
The first is the display. Where the Pebble Time Round featured a 1-inch screen, the Pebble Round 2 has a 1.3-inch screen. A 0.3-inch size upgrade may not sound like much on paper, but as you can see from the photos above, it\u2019s a night-and-day difference when looking at the Pebble Round 2 and Pebble Time Round side by side \u2014 largely thanks to the drastically reduced bezels on the new watch.
The other big upgrade is battery life. Migicovsky says the Pebble Round 2 should last 10 to 14 days per charge, a massive increase over the two days of battery life provided by the original Pebble Time Round (primarily due to newer, more efficient Bluetooth technology). Although it\u2019s not as impressive as the 30-day battery life offered by the other two Pebble watches announced a few months ago, it\u2019s still incredible endurance considering how light and thin the Pebble Round 2 is.
Speaking of which, the Pebble Round 2\u2019s body is almost identical to the original Pebble Time Round, with the new model just 0.7mm thicker. The watch measures just 8.1mm thick, which is significantly thinner than the Pixel Watch 4 (12.3mm), OnePlus Watch 3 (11.7mm), and Garmin Venu 4 (12mm). You also have the same stainless steel case, four navigation buttons, and the iconic e-paper touchscreen display.
Elsewhere, the Pebble Round 2 shares many features with Pebble\u2019s other latest smartwatches. It has step and sleep tracking, a compass, two microphones, and 30m water resistance. Compared to the Pebble Time 2, the two most prominent missing features on the Pebble Round 2 are a heart rate monitor and a speaker.
Pebble Round 2 is available in two sizes \u2014 20mm and 14mm \u2014 and comes in black, silver, and gold finishes. Pre-orders are live now for $199, with shipping expected to begin in May. If you already pre-ordered a Pebble Time 2 but wish you had waited for the Pebble Round 2, Pebble will let you change your order from the Time to the Round and credit you the difference.
As someone who wore and loved the original Pebble Time Round, I couldn\u2019t be more excited about the Pebble Round 2. I certainly don\u2019t expect it to beat the Pixel Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 8, but the prospect of getting the Pebble Round hardware with a modernized display and improved battery life sounds right up my alley. I can\u2019t wait to get my hands on this one.
