Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin made plenty of headlines for his energy during Miami&#8217;s quarterfinal win, and he was losing his mind once again during Thursday night&#8217;s 31-27 win over Ole Miss.<\/b><br \/>\nMiami fans everywhere were enraptured by what went down in the College Football Playoff semifinal.<br \/>But one of the Hurricanes\u2019 most prominent alums might have been the most excited at the end of the victory at State Farm Stadium. <br \/>Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin made plenty of headlines for his energy during No. 10 Miami\u2019s quarterfinal win, and he was losing his mind once again during Thursday night\u2019s 31-27 win over No. 6 Ole Miss in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz.<br \/>Irvin, 59, was on the sidelines yelling in jubilation and throwing his arms in the air before doing some flexing as Carson Beck\u2019s three-yard touchdown scramble with 18 seconds left in he fourth quarter put Miami in the lead for good. <br \/>Irvin then shared a hug with Miami\u2019s mascot, Sebastian the Ibis, mirroring the Hurricanes players\u2019 reaction in the back of the end zone. <br \/>The former wideout wasn\u2019t the only football alumnus in Arizona for the win, as Ray Lewis and Edgerrin James served as honorary captains. Cam Ward, the No. 1 draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, was also on the sidelines. <br \/>Beck, in the lead-up to the semis, praised Irvin in particular for his energy at games for the Hurricanes. Not holding anything back, Irvin said Miami took \u201cBelt to ass\u201d to Ohio State in the last round.<br \/>\u201cI love him. The energy that he brings to this team, it\u2019s irreplaceable, right?\u201d Beck said. He\u2019s an amazing person, an amazing human being. <br \/>\u201cLike I said, the energy that he supplies this team is irreplaceable and we love having him around.\u201d<br \/>The Hurricanes will either play Indiana or Oregon in the national title game at, fittingly enough, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Jan. 19.
