That said, if your itchy trigger finger isn’t as accurate as it could be, The Oracle is an Outer Worlds 2 weapon you can get relatively early in the game that’ll make gun battles noticeably easier. Here’s how to get it.
How to get The Oracle in The Outer Worlds 2

The Oracle is a burst assault rifle that uses long rounds. Its special ability, Precision Optics, allows you to lock onto enemies if they appear in your sights and hit enemies even if you’re shooting near them while they’re still locked-on. If the target is no longer in your Oracle’s sights, you will no longer be locked-on. You can make it even more powerful with two mod slots, too.
The Oracle can be found in the Alexandra Monastery observatory on Golden Ridge. You’ll come here naturally as part of the main story, but this’ll be the location of your final main mission on this planet. Matriarch’s Mercy is your closest fast travel point — the monastery is the building in the southeastern corner of the map.
The Oracle is inside a glass cabinet once you’ve entered the observatory, after you’ve rang the Bell Towers, and headed down the hallway, bearing left. Heading to the other side of the unique gun’s case is the Oracle Display Case Access Podium, which gives you three possible ways to extricate the weapon:
For options two and three, you’ll have the gun straight away, letting you use the weapon in the tough nearby boss fight against Seer Landon Wiley. That said, you’ll need to have really specialised on lockpicking to be proficient enough to get the gun right away at this early point in the game.
For option one, you’ll need to defeat Seer Wiley, which is a pretty challenging fight if you can’t talk him down first with Speech 5 or Leadership 5. That way, he won’t be hostile, and you can try and pickpocket the Universal Key from him once he’s been calmed.
If you don’t have those skills, or are just feeling particularly bloodthirsty, you’ll need to fight Wiley, which is made harder by a number of his supporting guards and a Rejuvenation Device at the centre of the arena keeping the Seer going. Given the number of targets you’ll need to hit, as well as the Seer himself, ensure you’re liberally using your companions’ abilities to take the heat off you.
Once you’ve defeated Wiley, loot Abbot’s Universal Key from his corpse and use it to unlock the Oracle’s glass casing.

With this early-game weapon in The Outer Worlds 2, you can hit your targets even if you have the worst aim.
